Side rant, I will never understand why so many people complain about graphics. Multiplayer Forza everyone just drives drunk or demolition derby, and the AI "drivatars" are incompetent as a result, making any mode except time trial literally painful to participate in, especially with damage enabled. Modern Forza will literally let you drive with keyboard and barely any punishment or trouble, I do not imagine this game could be much worse than Forza titles. Graphics are a lot better in Forza, car handling and feeling is better.everything is better. Originally posted by black:Compared to Forza this game is trash. So how does it stack up against the other games in the sub-genre it's competing in? I'd rather this game handle more like PC2 than Forza, but that's why I'm here before buying. I'm not exactly enjoying the idea of more handling like Forza, always feeling like Traction Control and ABS are enabled 24/7 - Horizon 4 doesn't even punish you for keyboard driving terrifying cars like the Ferrari F50. There's a tiny part of me that thinks surely after having two Sim racers under their belt that Slightly Mad let you at least enable some simulation settings to resemble their previous titles. While I've seen some people in the reviews say this game is arcade not sim, I have to ask, anyone who's played an arcade track racer like Gran Turismo or Forza, how does PC3 compare? Turn 10's stupidest decision was to give the AI driving personalites from your friends list because no one on Forza ever actually races properly, they're all drunk I swear. They had genuinely good AI back in Motorsport 3, but now it's just Destruction Derby 2 at corner one and the AI never take damage so even if they wipe and roll into the sand trap trying to dive bomb you, they can still catch up from last to second to try again one lap later. I always hated the Forza series for being super arcadey and feeling like assists are always on regardless of settings.īut the biggest killer of Forza these past four or so titles has been the AI. Not just a track racing "simcade", but an amateur league track racing simcade.īuy your own cars, customize them, make them your own cars, not some boring thousand sticker sponsor nonsense that you didn't even pay for nor even own. I've always loved the Forza series for providing such a specific niche to the track racing genre and I was ecstatic to see Slightly Mad were making their third title in the exact same sub-genre:
